4tune Terms of Service
Please read these terms before using 4tune ("the extension," "the service," "we," "us"). By installing or using 4tune, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the extension.
1. What 4tune is
4tune is a browser extension that connects to trading and exchange platform accounts you already hold (currently Trading 212, Alpaca, Binance, and Kraken/Kraken Futures) using API keys you provide, and displays your balances, positions, fees, and estimated profit/loss in one place.
4tune is strictly a viewer. It never places, modifies, or cancels trades, never deposits or withdraws funds, and never requests any permission beyond what's needed to read your account data. It cannot do anything to your accounts beyond what a read-only API key allows.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction if that's higher, to use 4tune.
3. Not financial advice
4tune displays data about your own holdings. It does not provide investment, financial, tax, or legal advice, and nothing in the extension should be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. Trend charts and projections are simple mathematical extrapolations of your own historical data โ they are explicitly not forecasts and carry no guarantee of future accuracy. Decisions about your money are yours alone.
4. Accuracy โ what we can and can't promise
We build 4tune to be as accurate as reasonably possible, and we're upfront about the specific ways it may not be exact, rather than overstating what it can do:
- Profit/loss for crypto holdings (Kraken, Binance) is an estimate, computed from your own recent trade history where the platform doesn't provide a P&L figure directly. It may be incomplete if you've held an asset longer than the scanned trade history covers.
- Kraken Futures fee figures rely on data from Kraken's fills endpoint following their fee-calculation changes in mid-2026, and should be treated as an estimate to verify against your own account statement.
- Currency conversion uses live rates from a third-party service (Frankfurter/European Central Bank data), cached for up to 12 hours โ actual conversion at the time of any real transaction may differ slightly.
- All data depends on the connected platforms' own APIs being available and accurate. If a platform has an outage, changes its API, or returns incorrect data, 4tune will reflect that.
4tune is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
5. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the security of your own API keys. 4tune's setup guide recommends creating read-only keys with trading and withdrawal permissions disabled wherever the platform allows it โ we strongly recommend following that guidance, but the choice and consequences are yours.
- You're responsible for keeping your own device and browser secure, since that's where your keys and data are stored.
- You should not use 4tune for anything unlawful or in violation of any connected platform's own terms of service.
6. No affiliation with third-party platforms
4tune is an independent, unofficial tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Trading 212, Alpaca, Binance, Kraken, or any other platform it integrates with. All trademarks and platform names belong to their respective owners and are used here only to describe compatibility.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 4tune and its developer(s) are not liable for any losses, damages, or costs arising from your use of the extension โ including but not limited to trading decisions made based on information shown, inaccuracies in displayed data, or any downtime or malfunction. 4tune does not execute trades and holds no funds, so it has no ability to cause direct financial loss through action on your accounts โ but we cannot guarantee the accuracy of what's displayed, and you should independently verify anything important against the platform itself before acting on it.
8. Changes and termination
We may update, change, or discontinue 4tune, or any part of it, at any time. You can stop using it at any time by uninstalling the extension, which also deletes all locally stored data (see the Privacy Policy).
9. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of 4tune after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus.
